Support for travellers and businesses
Hotels have been directed to assist guests affected by flight changes, including facilitating extended stays under existing booking conditions or offering more favourable rates where possible. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism is coordinating with tourism stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Passengers have been advised to confirm flight details directly with their airline before travelling to the airport.
The Dubai Executive Council has approved AED1 billion in short-term economic incentives, running from April to September 2026. The package includes a three-month 100 per cent postponement of Tourism Dirham and hotel sales fees for hospitality establishments, plus deferrals of selected business and licensing fees.
Resilience rooted in openness
Kazim pointed to Dubai’s historic openness as a key source of strength.
“Dubai is home to close to 200 nationalities living, working and coming together as a community,” he said. “Even more so during this period, our historic model of openness has shaped our resilience and will continue to attract first-time and repeat visitors from around the world, families looking to relocate here, and businesses seeking to set up shop in the city.”
He urged residents, visitors and industry partners to rely only on official sources and warned against misinformation.
“To our future visitors, we look forward to welcoming you very soon,” Kazim added.
